Volunteering

As a 100% volunteer organisation, we need to participate in the effective running of our Guild.

Volunteering provides a way to connect with members for fun and experience sharing. You do not have to be Sydney-based, as many things can be done remotely.

Here are some roles for which you can take responsibility. We encourage sharing roles.

Guild Shop - Sales assistant. We are looking for people who can do a 3-hour shift. We offer complete training.

Events Co-ordinator - We participate in approximately 10 events annually. We need someone to coordinate with the event organiser, engage volunteers, organise and update displays and provide content to the marketing team for inclusion in the Guild News and social media.

Exhibitions

Library - Management, shelving and service.

Guild News - Editing, composition, writing contributions, and emailing.

Marketing - Creating social media content in Canva, posting, analysing, and scheduling.

Management Committee -  Consider serving on the Guild's Management Committee. The Committee is elected at the Annual General Meeting and serves for a year. We encourage a wide range of experience and work on a consensus decision-making model.

Sub Committees - Bring your experience to build the Guild and see it flourish. Areas of activity are Learning, Outreach, Governance, and Finance.
