Now Hiring - Retail and Administrative Specialist
Are you interested in spinning, weaving, and textile crafts and passionate about our mission? Are you energised by interacting with and supporting fibre enthusiasts?
We seek a team member passionate about the arts to play a key role in carrying out the Hand Weavers & Spinners Guild of NSW Inc.'s day-to-day operations.
The Retail and Administrative Specialist performs the Guild's daily administrative duties and operations, including answering emails, managing workshop bookings, maintaining the Guild's robust calendar of events and classes, maintaining the website and online shop, preparing to bank, opening and closing the premises and providing support to ensure the Guild's success. There will be duties in the retail shop, such as covering lunch breaks.
This position is rewarding on many levels—working with the Guild's experienced volunteer staff and committee, interacting with members, students, and volunteers to deliver the services and community they cherish, and immersing yourself in the fibre arts. The role is part-time, 15 hours a week to match when we are open. Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, 10.30 am - 4 pm.
