Braids Plus
Visit our group here at the ‘Home of Things Unusual’.
We work on our own individual projects featuring
braids, cords and plaits, temari balls, bobbin lace
braids, hats using idiot cord and Dorset buttons.
We are very pleased that Braids Plus will be resuming, as Lyn Oldfield has volunteered to coordinate the group again. One of the oldest and most consistent groups in the Guild joins to explore many braids, including Japanese braids, using equipment the Guild holds, such as marudais. There is also an extensive research collection of examples of handmade braids.
The group will meet on the first Sunday of each month, commencing on May 3, from 10 am to 3 pm.

Weavers Interest Group
The group is currently having a hiatus as the groups need convenors.
As people get busier perhaps we can suggets that a team is created and the hosting is shared. We can provide access to the Zoom account and training if required.
We appreciate the dedication from Anne Lewis and Helen Halpin but the time is for others to step up so the activities can continue.
If you would like to learn about becoming a convenor contact the Committee committee@spinweavensw.org

Fibre Lovers Craft Group
This is an open group for anyone that
wants to get together with like-minded
people and work on a craft of their
choice. Some examples are braiding,
crocheting, embroidery, fibre crafts,
knitting, spinning and weaving. This is
a social group, not a workshop group,
but members usually share knowledge
of their craft if questions do arise. Any
skill level is welcomed. Guild
equipment is available to use.
